These industrial areas and mine shafts belong to the HBL (Houillères du Bassin de Lorraine) in the North-Est of France. Unlike the Northern region which preserves many buildings and archives of its industrial past, and excepting very few areas, the Lorraine region doesn't care or don't have enough money to preserve many of its incredible sites.
