Saline
The two salines "Salin des Pesquiers" and "Levée Saint Nicolas" in Hyères. The industry of salt began in 1848 for the first one and in the 10th century for the second one. These salines cover 800 hectares of salterns. The activity stopped in 1995 and the salterns belong now to the "Conservatoir du Littoral". It's a protected area for many bird species.
