More than ten years were necessary to build this huge sanatorium (750.000 m²) in Italy initiated in 1911. As many sanatoriums in early 19th, the main disease was tuberculosis. It is disused since 2015, when the new hospital has been build nearby.
Almost nothing has been left in the buildings, the main attraction is the incredible central basilica.
